Urgent Rally Outside Mary Landrieu's Office Tomorrow.

This is a repost of an email Gene Mills with Louisiana Family Forum sent out earlier today. Check it out, and be there if you can! It only takes one vote to stop this. Let's put all the pressure we can bring to bear to convince Senator Landrieu to stop supporting Obamacare:


Tomorrow, we will physically deliver one last letter to Senator Mary Landrieu asking her to reconsider her support for President Obama's health care plan that will force every American to buy government approved health care insurance which will fund abortion.


Only one vote is needed to STOP this so-called health care plan that will raise the cost of health care for families by as much as 106 percent, raise taxes and push millions of Americans who are presently insured at their place of employment into the government health care exchange.

Louisiana opposes this government takeover, and the polls agree!

Thousands of citizens have tried unsuccessfully to reach Senator Landrieu by phone. We must be heard! Join me and hundreds of other citizens in sending a message loud and clear, Tuesday at noon in front of Mary Landrieu's office in downtown Baton Rouge on the corner of North 7th Street and Florida Street, across from the Old Post Office.

Bring your signs and help send a clear message to Senator Landrieu that we want her to stop this terrible health care bill that will force every American to support Planned Parenthood in the killing of unborn children with their tax dollars, saddle families with higher insurance premiums, raise our taxes and deny our parents and grandparents the essential health care they need.

When: Tuesday, 12:00 noon

Where: Florida Street and North 7th Street, across from the Main Post Office downtown

What: A Call to Senator Mary Landrieu to NOT become the 60th vote for the government takeover of our health care.

I Haven't Decided What To Call These Yet so Shut Up. ;)

This will basically be sorta like a "this month in review" column. This is my first one, and I would really appreciate your thoughts on it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I will comment on and share links about what's going on in current affairs. It'll be divided into sections, and titles, most of which should be pretty self evident in their meaning.
So without further ado, here's my first attempt. Hopefully its not downright dreadful.

A few weeks ago, a group of Christian leaders including Chuck Colsen and Archibishop Donald Wuerl, called for civil disobedience if the government attempts to force them to accept laws regarding abortion and same sex marriage that betray their beliefs. They wrote and signed a 4,700 page document that has been called "The Manhattan Doctrine: A Call of Christian Conscience." This is encouraging in so many ways. First of all, we finally have Christians willing to take a stand against the blatant immorality that liberal politicians are attempting to legalize and incorporate into our culture. This is a really gutsy step on the part of these leaders. The other positive aspect about this is the unity that took place in the signing of this document. Evangelicals, Catholics, and Orthodox leaders joined together in this. Christians put aside their doctrinal issues for what it really important. A house divided against itself cannot stand, and that rule applies to Christians as surely as it applies to anything else.



Issue of the Month
Healthcare is crucial, and will continue to be so, but I want to focus on Afghanistan this month. Obama, after months of waffling in indecision, finally announced his decision earlier this week. Essentially, Obama sets a withdrawal date in 2011(close to an election year, by the way), but increases our military force in the country by 30,000. In his speech, he made no mention of either defeating the Taliban, or capturing Bin Laden. Instead, he said the plan is to bring this war to a "successful conclusion". One of the goals he laid out was to "reverse the Taliban's momentum". Sadly, he didn't use the word "victory" once in his speech. I personally am not sure he even knows the meaning of the word. Maybe he's right about not using the word in his speech, because I very much doubt his plan will end in any type of victory whatsoever. That is, except for the Taliban.

A woman may be charged with a "Hate Crime" for TUGGING on a Muslim woman's head covering.

This isn't happening in Sudan , this is happening in Illinois!! Its happening in the United States of America!! As shocking as this story is, should we really be that surprised? The libs are in charge. Political correctness reigns supreme. You can't do anything remotely offensive to any minority or religious group unless they're Christians. Not only that, when you add on the fact that we have a Muslim president Muslim sympathizer in the White House, it makes a little more sense.Notice that this happened in Illinois, which just happens to be the location of Obama's previously held Senate seat. Climategate: the exposure of the fraudulent theory of man-made global warming.
This story is simply tremendous. Its no less than the expose' of the man-made global warming scam, and the main-stream media as a whole has ignored it. Instead, the AP actually started running pro-global warming propoganda news stories around the same time this broke! Thankfully, its been picked up by the conservative media outlets, and the UK Telegraph posted a number of excellent pieces on the subject.. Its not like it used to be. We now have outlets like Fox, Newsmax, the Drudge Report, talk radio, etc. that allows the truth to be heard. There's a reason so many people are turning to those sources I just mentioned for their news coverage. In the midst of eating turkey(and yes, we still eat turkey, not some vegan substitute) and watching football, don't forget what this day is really about. Its a time to thank God for all the blessings that He has provided for us. Even in tough times, we have things to be thankful for. If you disagree, take a breath. There's something to be thankful for right there!! In the midst of the constant barrage of negativity that we see from the doomsday media, don't let it take away your happiness and joy. The world around us could use some of that happiness.

Do We Have a Moral Obligation to Bankrupt America?

We can debate Obamacare until we're blue in the face, but in reality, the truth is fairly obvious.
We are currently facing the bankruptcy of Medicare and Social Security, 2 government programs that as is usual with government programs, became impossible to adequately fund. So what is the solution put forward by the liberals in Congress? Let's make a LARGER government program to fix the previous two. This is their solution to everything! More money, more taxes, and inevitably, more government control. Forget about reforming the last 2 programs, let's just throw them away and make an even bigger one! The timing of the bill is pretty idiotic as well. Our economy isn't exactly booming right now, and we are continuing to field massive deficits every year. However, that doesn't seem to stop the liberals from trying to pass a bill that will add trillions of dollars of added debt onto our already struggling economy, not to mention putting many in the medical field out of work.

Of course, liberals try to defend this by citing how we have a "moral obligation" to pay for other people's health insurance. Do we also have a moral obligation to destroy the America we know and love?? That, is what all this will lead to. If this bill passes, we will have lost a huge chunk of our freedom and individual liberty, and no amount of "free healthcare" will be able to make up for it.

The House of Representatives, Is It Racist?

The Politico reported yesterday that all current House Ethics investigations are being directed at African-American lawmakers, which not surprisingly has drawn the ire of the Congressional black caucus. Some of the more notable lawmakers facing ethics probes are Maxine Waters and Laura Richardson, to name a few. Currently, there are no House ethics probes being directed at white lawmakers.





For the blacks who would raise the calls of "racist" in response to this, I'd like to point out who it is who runs the House. If there is any racism here, (and I'm not convinced that there is), it's being shown by Democrats, not Republicans. After all, this is the House of Representative run by Nancy Pelosi and Stennie Hoyer. Liberals have made it their staple over the years to accuse conservatives of racism, sexism, etc. when they are doing it themselves over and over again! Remember what they did to Palin in the last election? What about the vicious attacks leveled at Justice Clarence Thomas of being a sexual predator? The number of racist and sexist remarks uttered by Democrats is simply unbelievable. Yet, you'll usually find them on their high horse accusing conservatives of those things.

As for the probes themselves, I'm honestly not sure. It could be racism, or it could just be we have a bunch of big city Democrats being nailed on ethics violations.(that in itself isn't very surprising) What do you think? Conservatives, 40%, Libs, 20%. Are You Paying attention GOP??

Today, Gallup released a groundbreaking new poll that reported 40% of Americans consider themselves conservative, and 20% call themselves liberal. Moderates took the middle with 36%.
Despite this, we currently have a president with Marixist views, and a Congress run by the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. These people aren't even moderates, they're full-blown leftists!!

The reason they are in power is two-fold. We as Americans needed to do more. We needed to get out there and promote conservative values, and most importantly, we needed to vote. In many cases, that didn't happen in 2008, and we are now paying dearly for it. The good news is that in many ways we as conservatives are finally getting our act together. Through tea parties, town hall meetings, etc. we are making our voice heard.
What we now have to do is translate these ideals and values into election results. To do that, we need candidates who run their campaigns on conservative values. The Gallup poll numbers back up this premise! If the Republican party wants to regain power, it needs to realize this: A conservative GOP is what will be successful. We don't need a "hip-hop" party, as Michael Steele put it, and we surely don't need a moderate GOP.

For those who say the Republican Party should be more moderate, WHERE WERE YOU IN THE LAST ELECTION?? John McCain was the personification of the "moderate" candidate, and he got his butt kicked. Yet somehow we get these idiotic news stories about how Republicans need to appeal to the moderates and the fence sitters. That was what we did in the last election, and it didn't work!
The Republican Party leadership needs to wake up, and get in line with the American people on this. We don't want moderates, liberals, or marxists, we want conservatives!! Then, and only then, will the Republican party be doing things right.

Jimmy Carter Strikes Again!

In an epic stroke of brilliance, yesterday the infallible Jimmy Carter accused Rep. Joe Wilson of racism. He arrived at this earth-shattering conclusion despite the fact that Joe Wilson essentially only said two words, "You lie" to President Obama.
What are we to assume from Carter's words? That calling Obama a liar equals racism against black people? Is he saying black people are all liars? That is in essence what he is implying. If calling a black man a liar is racist, it obviously implies that lying is associated with his ethnic background.
I'm sure Carter didn't think about that before he made his outrageous claims, which is a problem with most politicians these days.
They don't think about what they say, and worse, many, including our President often don't do what they said they would.
In other words, they lied.

In Remembrance of Michael P. Lunden, who died on 9/11

In the early hours of September 11, 2001, Michael Lunden stepped into the World Trade Center. As the Vice President of an energy trading company who's offices were located at the WTC, husband to his wife Michelle, and as a father to their 10 month old son, Michael had many responsibilities both at the office and at home. He lost his life at the young age of 37 during the terrorist attacks that destroyed the Twin Towers.
Please take a moment to pray for his family, especially his wife and son.
And let us make sure, as Americans, that what happened on 9/11 will NEVER happen again.

Michael P. Lunden's friends always said he was worth waiting for, an assertion he tested frequently. "They called him the Human Rain Delay," said Michelle Lunden, who married him even though he was 20 minutes late to their first date.

People would wait for Mr. Lunden, 37, because, basically, no event could start without him. He was the constant center of an ever-widening social circle, a member of 26 wedding parties, a hyperfriendly guy in a loud Brooks Brothers shirt who introduced himself to each and every waiter, bartender and vineyard keeper he came into contact with.

When Mr. Lunden was not cocooning (loudly) with Michelle and their 10-month- old son at their Manhattan home or their weekend place on the North Fork of Long Island, or playing Friend's Best Man for the umpteenth time, or touting a new merlot, he was an energy trader at Cantor Fitzgerald.

The night before Mr. Lunden's memorial service, a few of his pals — about 85 of them, actually — got together at his favorite steakhouse, Smith & Wollensky. "Somebody said that only Michael would have a rehearsal dinner for his funeral," Ms. Lunden said. Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani happened to be eating there. He went over to see what all the noise was about and ended up donning a baseball cap that said "Lundo!!" and giving a speech about the indomitable spirit of the city.

To Michael and his family --

As with no doubt many others, Mike touch my life in a sort of indirect way. My brother and I, Pat, played ice hockey with Mike in the 80-81 Loyola Academy school year. No offense, but Mike was a terrible hockey player. I was not much better, but his spirit, good nature, and constant comedic presence made the season bearable and every practice something to look forward to. I look back at the picture of the team, Neil H, MIke P, Ziggy, etc. And there is Mike, the one guy I knew who perished on that terrible day. May his spirit, craziness, good-heartedness, and all of the rest live on. Go Ramblers, Go Holy Spirit, and Go Mike. Peace to all.

Trees Cause Global Warming...........#facepalm

Yes my friends, its official. According to some so-called "scientists", trees are now a cause of global warming. The researchers claimed that the vast forests of Canada actually contribute to global warming. So much for the "Plant a tree, save the planet" idea. Seriously though, if trees cause global warming, then humanity is doomed. After all, according to evolutionists, trees have been around for millions of years, and all this time they've been warming the Earth..according these *cough* "scientists. For us enlightened folk who know better, this is something to laugh at, but what about the tree huggers???



The very trees that they fight for so desperately are the very ones that are destroying the climate!
They'll never be able to take a "nature walk" the same way ever again! They'll feel too betrayed by the towering oaks that they once thought were their friends.
In the words of our President, Barrack Obama, they'd be..."all wee weed up".

NY Times Cites Hitler's stimulus as support for Obama's.

The New York Times isn't known for posting many tasteful articles, but they've taken their knack for bad journalism to a new low. Back in April, David Leonhart, who writes for the New York Times business column, had this to say about Hitler and Nazism:
In the summer of 1933, just as they will do on Thursday, heads of government and their finance ministers met in London to talk about a global economic crisis. They accomplished little and went home to battle the crisis in their own ways.
More than any other country, Germany--Nazi Germany--then set out on a serious stimulus program. The government built up the military, expanded the autobahn, put up stadiums for the 1936 Berlin Olympics and built monuments to the Nazi Party across Munich and Berlin.
The economic benefits of this vast works program never flowed to most workers, because fascism doesn't look kindly on collective bargaining. But Germany did escape the Great Depression faster than other countries. Corporate profits boomed, and unemployment sank (and not because of slave labor, which didn't become widespread until later). Harold James, an economic historian, says that the young liberal economists studying under John Maynard Keynes in the 1930s began to debate whether Hitler had solved unemployment.

He then went on make this brilliant statement:

"Here in the United States, many people are understandably wondering whether the $800 billion stimulus program will make much of a difference. They want to know: Does stimulus work? Fortunately, this is one economic question that’s been answered pretty clearly in the last century. Yes, stimulus works. "


In essence, the NYT essentially cited the so-called success of Hitler's stimulus plan as support for that of Obama's . What's ironic is that its the liberals who have falsely accused those on the right of racism, anti-semitism, (Ann Coulter ring a bell?) and now we find them turning to the Third Reich for support of their plans.
Nice double-standard Mr. Leonhart. What will you think of next?

WHO AM I?


* I was born in one country, raised in another. My father was born
in another country. I was not his only child. He fathered several children
with numerous women.


* I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest
in me. My mother died at an early age from cancer.


* Later in life, questions arose over my real name.


* My birth records were sketchy and no one was able to produce a
legitimate, reliable birth certificate.


* I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity, as
it was widely accepted in my country, but I practiced non-traditional
beliefs and didn't follow Christianity, except in the public eye under
scrutiny.


* I work ed and lived among lower-class people as a young adult,
disguising myself as someone who really cared about them.


* That was before I decided it was time to get serious about my
life and I embarked on a new career.


* I wrote a book about my struggles growing up. It was clear to
those who read my memoirs that I had difficulties accepting that my father
abandoned me as a child.


* I became active in local politics in my 30's then with help
behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for
national office in my 40s. They said I had a golden tongue and could talk
anyone into anything. That reinforced my conceit.


* I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history, and
no experience in leading a single organization. Yet I was a powerful
speaker and citizens were drawn to me as though I were a magnet and they
were small roofing tacks.


* I drew incredibly large crowds during my public appearances. This
bolstered my ego.


* At first, my political campaign focused on my country's foreign
policy. I was very critical of my country in the last war and seized every
opportunity to bash my country.


* But what launched my rise to na tional prominence were my views on
the country's economy. I pretended to have a really good plan on how we
could do better and every poor person would be fed and housed for free.


* I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess.
It was the free market, banks and corporations. I decided to start making
citizens hate them and if they were envious of others who did well, the plan
was clinched tight.


* I called mine "A People's Campaign" and that sounded good to all
people.


* I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the
traditional path of politics and was able to gain widespread popular
support.


* I knew that, if I merely offered the people 'hope', together we
could change our country and the world.


* So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on behalf
of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include "persecuted minorities" like
the Jews. My true views were not widely known and I needed to keep them
unknown, until after I became my nation's leader.


* I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have easily
found out what I really believed, if they had simply read my writings and
examined those people I associated with.


* I'm glad they didn't. Then I became the most powerful man in the
world. And the world learned the truth.

Best Twitter Applications


In this article, I will look over what are in my opinion the 4 best Twitter applications on the market . I’ll focus specifically on the applications that allow you to update your status, and to perform the bread and butter of Twitter. There are literally thousands of Twitter “apps” but these focus mostly on stream-lining how you see your followers and their tweets. I'd like to thank my fellow tweeters for the input that they provided. I’ve included links to each of these applications, so by all means check them out for yourself!Note: Screenshots were taken from Mashable.com and toddjordan.com




Tweetdeck-simple and effective


This app caused quite a stir when it was released, and I think it has lived up to the hype about it. I use this application often, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their Twitter experience. One of its features allows you to group certain Twitter users into different columns. That way, you'll have a better chance of catching the tweets of your favorite people, and its useful in sorting out the flurry of information from Twitter. Tweetdeck also has a feature that allows you to update your Facebook status at the same time you tweet. So far, you can only update your own status and see that of your friends.

Tweetdeck also has a filter option, which I haven't used, but its available should you want it. (If you want to learn more about filters, check out @brooksbayne ‘s article further down the page). Tweetdeck also has plenty of other services, including 12 Seconds(video recording feature), and Twitscoop, which shows you the top trending words on Twitter The designers recently released an I-Phone app for Tweetdeck, so you can synchronize your groups and preferences with your desktop. Best of all, this app is simple and easy to use. Its smooth interface, catchy layout, and superior performance has made it the second most popular Twitter app on the web.

Seeismic Desktop-a little bit of everything


Seesmic is the crossover Twitter application, even more so than Tweetdeck. Mashable reports that the app is “hands down the best Facebook integration we’ve seen”. Its practically loaded with features, and actually, that’s its weakness. Many users have reported that Seesmic is difficult to organize, and its massive array of features take up a considerable amount of CPU space, more so than Tweetdeck. I would recommend Seesmic for more Twitter-savy users who don’t mind the more complicated features and controls, but you won’t lose much, if anything by using Tweetdeck. Destroy Twitter-Small but efficient


If you’re looking for a pure performance app, than Destroy Twitter is for you. Its basically a stripped down version of Tweetdeck, so it works well for those with lower-end computers who need as much CPU space as they can get. It comes in a smaller startup window than Tweetdeck or Seeismic, but it also allows you to expand the window if necessary. It has no Facebook integration , and most of the added features of Tweetdeck and Seesmic are missing from Destroy Twitter. It does allow groups, which helps it compete with Tweetdeck. So basically, if you’re looking for a pure performance app that takes up little memory, Destroy Twitter is a good app to use. Its not as powerful as Tweetdeck, but it gets the job done.

Mixero


Mixero is a relatively new app that is still in test phase, but it already has attracted a following.

A friend of mine @brooksbayne (on Twitter) recommended the service. Mixero accomplishes the basic services of Tweetdeck and Seeismic, but adds a sophisticated filter system to the mix. Its considerably more advanced than Tweetdeck, but its worth looking into. Should you be interested in trying the app, follow Mixero, and they'll send you an invite via DM.

Obama and the Cambridge Police Have Met Before

Some may wonder why Barrack Obama, who by his own admission didn't have "all the facts", decided to say that the Cambridge police acted "stupidly" in their arrest of Henry Louis Gates Jr. I stumbled across this on Twitter, and simply put...its fascinating. I won't judge the man, but it seems our president has had past dealings with this very same Cambridge police department.

This is from World Net Daily:

President Obama, who targeted the Cambridge, Mass., police department with his comment that one of its officers acted "stupidly" in the arrest of a black man, has a history with the department dating from his college years to as recently as the launch of his presidential campaign.

According to the Somerville Times in 2007, as a Harvard Law School student, Obama got parking tickets during 1989-1991 from the Cambridge Police Department that he left unpaid until just weeks before he announced his bid for the presidency.

"In other words, as a practicing lawyer in Chicago, he allowed these tickets and penalties to remain unpaid; as an Illinois state senator he allowed these tickets and fines to remain unpaid; and as a United States senator he allowed these almost-two-decade-old signs of his disdain for the law to remain unpaid," commented John LeBoutillier on Newsmax.com.

The Washington Post said two years ago that the tickets included parking without a proper permit and parking in a bus stop.

The Associated Press reported in 2007 that Obama's "healthy stack" of parking tickets was finally paid, including late fees, "two weeks before he officially launched his presidential campaign."

Said Jen Psaki, spokeswoman for Obama's campaign during his race to the White House, "He didn't owe that much and what he did owe, he paid. … Many people have parking tickets and late fees."

America is a land of freedom- Let's Keep It that Way.

America is the greatest nation on the planet. The freedom that exists here is unparelled to the rest of the world. In other countries, people wake up in the morning concerned for their lives. They live in fear, afraid that some terrorist may kill them, or that they may not be able to find anything to eats. Many Americans on the other hand wake up in the morning with their biggest concern being whether they should order Cafe un Lait or a Cappuccino at Starbucks on their way to work. Sure, we may face challenges and tough situations, but how often do Americans face starvation or bands of genocidal terrorists? Even the poor among us aren't in any danger of starving, and I've noticed that some Americans living in what I would consider abject poverty have tv satillites. That may be part of the reason why they live in poverty...but nevertheless, they'd be considered rich by some countries' standards.

So why is this the case? Why is America so much better off than most of the world? The answer lies in our founding as a nation. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and others, envisioned an America where everyone would be able to use their God-given ability and creativity without being constantly interfered with by government. A place where people could be creative and improve themselves without being concerned that it would be taken from them by thieves, in government or otherwise. The government's role in fact was to ensure that this wouldn't take place! American government was supposed to protect our freedom, not infringe upon it! We've come a long ways from that place of liberty, unfortunately.

Over the years, as our nation has grown more prosperous and successful, government has slowly increased its role in our lives. Even worse, a growing segment of the population has come to believe that government, and not the individual, should be responsible for the welfare of the individual. We see this in the demands for universal healthcare, welfare, and housing projects. These are all ways in which people, refusing to take responsibility for their own lives and their own problems, resign them to government. Sadly, they then become little more than slaves to government. They are provided for, but they live lives of terrible mediocrity and misery, and without purpose.

Al Kaltman once said that, "Without meaningful work, life stinks". When people live their lives as simple wards of the government, they have no vision to succeed, no vision to prosper, and no vision to improve themselves. The Bible states even more powerfully that , "Without vision, a people perish". I know of a young boy raised in the slums who my parents tried to help. They asked the little boy about what he wanted to do in life, and do you know what he said? He didn't say he wanted to be a firefighter, or an astronaut, or an athlete. Instead, his whole vision in life was to fake injuries and problems so he could get more money from welfare!
That is the future of the liberal ideas that we see around us. That is the future in surrendering our responsibility, and our lives to the control of government. Things like this don't happen instantly. It takes time, and slowly, our liberties and our freedoms erode away until in the end, we have lost all that we are.
Its a dead-end road my friends, and I pray God that America does not stay on this path.

So don't shirk your responsibility! Don't surrender the God-given ability you have to create wealth and improve your life to the whims of bureaucrats in Washington D. C. They can't do a better job than you at running your life, I guarantee it!

Independence Day...lest we forget.

On July 4, 1776, 56 men placed their signature on the Declaration of Independence, knowing that in doing so their lives would be in jeopardy. They could no longer live the way they used to, for they were now considered traitors to the king of England. John Hancock, in a heroic gesture, signed his name first, in such a way that there could be no mistake who's signature it was.
The boldness and the bravery of both its signers and its authors is one of the greatest examples of patriotism ever. It laid the foundation for the American civilization as we know it.
Now 233 years later, this document has not lost its value.


IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

Still here? Great! It is interesting to note how similar their situation is to ours. They faced tyranny from an oppressive despotic regime, and now we, 233 years later, are dealing with a similar threat. Will we rise to the occasion, and take back our country, or will we remain in our bonds of oppression, lulled into inaction by the forces of evil?

Cap and Trade, the backdoor tax plan.

The Waxman-Markey bill cleared the House on Friday by the narrowest of margins. It now will face the Senate. I could go into why the cap and trade system itself is flawed, but what it will do to the American consumer by design is an even greater problem. In short, it is simply a backdoor tax plan authored by liberals in the Democrat Party. This isn't a small tax increase either, its massive.

Heritage has studied this and reported that by 2035 these commodities would experience the following massive increases in price:
  • Gasoline prices by 58 percent
  • Natural gas prices by 55 percent
  • Home heating oil by 56 percent
  • Worst of all, electricity prices by 90 percent
Notice who this will hit the most...the middle and lower classes, the people the Democrat party always says its helping. The companies and major businesses, as is always the case when the rich are excessively taxed, won't be the ones suffering the most. They'll simply pass the tax increases on to the American consumer, typically your average middle-class citizen. The gas prices will rise because the oil companies have to pay the added tax mandated by Congress and supported by President Obama. To pay it, they will tack the extra price onto every gallon you buy. When the total costs and taxes are added up, an average family of four will pay nearly $3000 extra dollars per year because of the cap and trade system.
I personally believe that if this bill passes, it will be the death knell of our free market economy. Could we recover from it? Yes, but America shouldn't have to repeat the mistakes of all the other countries who tried cap and trade, and it didn't work for them.
Why do Democrats in Congress and the White House think it will work for us?



Contact your senators, and ask them to vote no on cap and trade.
Pray that they will not be pressured by liberal activists, the president, or their own party.

Happy Father's Day

To all you Dads out there, Happy Father's Day! The media, and our culture as a whole has spinned the father in a negative light, but that's really not the true picture of fatherhood. Don't ever think you aren't special! You have a gift from God inside of you, so don't be afraid to use it!
The following is what I am writing to my Dad for Father's Day:
Dad...you've been there to help me, encourage me, an teach me. For that I am forever grateful. Thank you for your love, and for being my Dad. You are the best Dad I could ever have.
I love you!

Take the time tomorrow to thank your Dad, and to honor him. In the midst of that, remember your heavenly Father even more, and thank Him for being your Dad as well!

Iran's Election Surprise-NOT!

For those people who claim that Iran is a democracy...think again.
Now you might say, "But they have elections". While that's true, the power of the presidential office in Iran is really quite limited. The real leader of Iran is not the president, but the Supreme Leader who hold supreme(tough guess huh?) and unlimited authority. Guess who the Supreme Leader supported in this election? Ahmadinejad. Guess who won by a large margin? Ahmadinejad.

In fact, the Supreme Leader actually decides who can run for the office of president in the first place. The president is actually little more than a mouthpiece who regurgitates what is given to to him by the Supreme Leader. Kinda like the main-stream media with Obama.

The good news is that there is a large number of Iranians who are tired of the extremist views of their radical leaders and who yearn for a freedom like that being experienced in Iraq and in a lesser sense Afghanistan. Whether they'll be able to overthrow the oppression anytime soon remains to be seen.

One thing is for sure though, Iran is not a democracy. It is instead a totalitarian regime controlled by a group of Islamic extremists determined to at whatever cost complete their goal-the destruction of Israel, and in a greater sense, the Western world as we know it.

The Absurdities of Obama's Cairo Speech

In his speech addressed to the Muslim world, Obama said the following: "a student of history, I also know civilization's debt to Islam. It was Islam at places like Al-Azhar that carried the light of learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe's renaissance and enlightenment. It was innovation in Muslim communities that developed the order of algebra, our magnetic compass and tools of navigation, our mastery of pens and printing, our understanding of how disease spreads and how it could be healed. Islamic culture has given us majestic arches and soaring spires, timeless poetry and cherished music, elegant calligraphy, and places of peaceful contemplation -- and throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality".

What is amazing about this piece of rhetorical gibberish is that half of it is completely false! Algebra was discovered by the Sumerians thousands of years before Muhammed ever penned the Koran(or as Obama calls it, the "holy" koran.

Rush Limbaugh commented on Obama's stunning piece of oratory with this observation: Now, what am I supposed to say? I'm not supposed to say this stuff. Now, let's see, let's see. "Our mastery of pens and printing..." Has anybody ever heard of Gutenberg? I didn't know Gutenberg was a Muslim. "Our understanding of how disease spreads and how it can be healed..."? Are there Nobel Prizes for Medicine awarded to Muslims I have missed? "Islamic has given us some majestic arches and soaring spires..." Well, sorry, folks, but arches and spires predate the arrival of Islam by centuries. I mean, come on, folks. Arches? Anybody heard of Rome? He also talked about the great gift, "timeless poetry and cherished music." The only problem there is that music -- and musical instruments especially -- are forbidden in most Islamic traditions. And it should be unnecessary to have to note Islam's "religious tolerance" has been demonstrated.

This brings me to the most absurd line of Obama's speech. After praising Islam's contributements to our architecture, he said that Islam gave us "places of peaceful contemplation"
Really???? Where are those places? Is it Jerusalem, which has been plagued by Islamic suicide bombers for the last 20 years? Is it India, which has suffered from Islamic extremists for literally hundreds of years? How about Indonesia, which has been turned into a seabed of violence through Islamic unrest?
There isn't much peace in regular Islamic countries either. Women are brutally oppressed, some even put to death for accidentally showing their arms in public. Where is the peace and tolerance?

The only place that really fits Obama's description is Ground Zero, where in the aftermath of 9/11 millions of Americans honored the valiant firefighters, police officers, and citizens who lost their lives because of Islamic terrorism.
The words Islam and peace just don't go together.

The media and also the Democrat party(though really, what's the difference) are blathering about the so-called "torture" of Guantanamo detainees, but they really miss the point.
The Democrat party is in essence arguing that terrorists should not be forcibly interrogated, or have any harm to them, even if it jeopardizes American lives. The liberals are defaming the professionals in the CIA who have dedicated their lives to keeping this country safe. Even worse than that, a blatant double-standard that has existed in liberalism for a long time has been pushed to the forefront.

As I watch Democrats ranging from Pelosi to Obama furiously talk about our responsibilities and the importance of sticking to our morals, I think, what of the babies? What about their rights? The liberals are willing to give terrorists rights, but not babies! Such is the morality of the Democrat party and liberals in general, and to me, the word to describe it is "sickening".

Conservatives think differently. We consider the lives of the innocent unborn to be precious, certainly far more important than the inconveniencing of a few terrorists. Unlike liberals, we truly live up to our morals, by saving the innocent, and at the same time, respecting the lives of enemy combatants.
That is one of the things that has made our country the bastion of freedom and morality that it is. May we never lose it!

The Fallacy of Man-made Global Warming

Global warming-is it real, man-made, or is it a complete hoax? Are the oceans overheating? Are the little polar bears in the Artic losing their icebergs? Are we ruining the planet with our cars and use of fossil fuels?
Here is the answer. These are cold hard facts...Not fiction.


The first view held by supporters of global warming is that the increased jump in carbon dioxide caused by cars, factories, etc. traps sunlight on the Earth, thus causing a temperature increase. Is this fact or fiction?
Well, scientific charts conclusively show that with the sudden jump in carbon dioxide emissions, the ocean's temperture, and earth temperture in general did not increase at a level anywhere near the level of the increase in carbon dioxide. It is true that ocean levels are increasing, but at a extremely slow level. This level has not changed in the past 5,000 years. Carbon emissions only jumped with the advent of the automobile and factories. The ocean, and the temperature has not spiked in the last century. Now this is scientific data, and for a link go to

A second view held by global warming supporters is that the polar ice capes are melting. This is where global warming supporters claim that the polar bears are losing their natural habitat. The truth about this though, is that it is simply not true. In fact, Artic ice has grown in the last year or two. Every change the ice level is simply the Earth adjusting, not humanity destroying it...You want evidence... Here it is...

Now for the scientific evidence:
I have been given pro-global warming sites to look at by certain people, and I found no scientific evidence! The meager evidence for global warming was Al Gore mistaken assumption that Mt. Kilomanjaro's ice was melting because of global warming. Now it was true that the total ice level decreased, but even global warming advocates say that he went overboard. Even the evidence he provided was rather sketchy. First of all, Kilomajaro is a volcano! Even though it is extinct, I would think that any decrease in snow could be easily explained. Furthermore, it just happens to be on the continent with the most vegetation and the least man-made carbon emissions! Even more important, Kilomanjaro is an isolated incident. Now for the funny part:
I found this intensely amusing...Some global warming advocates claim that cattle droppings is a cause of global warming! Now seriously, according to the evolutionary theory which most these people seem to believe, cows have been around at least a 100,000 years before man was here. Would not global warming have occurred during that long period without man to dispose of the waste? Well it didn't, thats very plain to see.

Another thought: Humanity expells carbon dioxide when we breathe. Exactly how do we put limits on that?

More recently, some global warming theorists claimed that trees now cause global warming! How crazy can you get?
Some of the most extreme global warming activists want to give you an enviromental card, so that you could only cause so much damage to the enviroment everyday. Once it runs out, you have to pay fines or borrow off of someone elses card! (this has actually been put forward by liberal lawmakers in the U.K.)
Now, does global warming exist? The answer is yes, but global cooling exists as well. Do you want to know what causes warming and cooling(it's really very simple). The Sun does! . Now this should be obvious!! The Sun generates heat, so if it cools a little bit or warms a little, the Earth experiences slightly colder or warmer temperatures!
Right now though, global warming has effectively stopped! Temperature charts by NASA, and other organizations all show that the temperature levels actually decreased. Uh oh, now we have global cooling! Now maybe we should start burning up more fossil fuels to heat up the planet! Scientific evidence is given below.

In closing, changes in global temperature are caused by the Sun, not by anything man-made. The doctrine of man-made global warming is a outright fallacy, as evidence conclusively shows. Unlike what you may have heard, not everyone believes in global warming. More than half of the websites on the internet regarding Global warming are in opposition to what global warming activists claim. Plus, there are numbers upon numbers of scientists that oppose it. 31,000 scientists have signed a petition against global warming-and that vastly outnumbers the scant 2500 that signed the IPCC report that liberals tout as evidence of man-made global warming. I am willing to put forward that the doctrine of man-made global warming is just another way for liberals in power to gain even more control over people, business, and over anything they can get their hands on..
